Welcome to Friends of the Wythe/Monumental Green Space!

Our Mission:

In cooperation with Enrichmond Foundation, our mission is to preserve, maintain, and protect a beautiful pocket of urban forest at the east end of the median-like strip between the 4700 blocks of Wythe Avenue and Monumental Street.

Our Objectives:

The Friends of the Wythe/Monumental Green Space will:

• maintain the green space, making efforts to preserve the area’s natural forested character
• maintain the flower garden at the eastern tip of this triangular lot
• organize periodic volunteer cleanup and maintenance events
• see to ad hoc maintenance tasks such as pickup up tree branches after wind storms
• lobby for the City of Richmond to take ownership of this park space as a new “pocket park” in alignment with the objectives of the Richmond 300 Master Plan.
