Brunswick Stew and Stout
Join us Saturday, October 27th from 11am-4pm for Brunswick Stew & Stout!
What makes this particular Brunswick Stew Festival so special?? All of the stews you will sample on Saturday are made from scratch on-site! Stew Masters gather at midnight the night before the competition to prepare stews, then serve you the freshest stews on the 27th.
Stew available for purchase by the sample or by the quart. Make sure you get there early before the quarts run out! Stew Crews will be competing for Best Stew.
In an effort to support the business community around the 17th Street Farmers Market, the stouts will be served from the surrounding bars and restaurants. Come enjoy your fresh, piping hot stew then head over to a local establishment to relax with a selection of fall stouts!
Brunswick Stew and Stout is the launch of Enrichmond’s collaboration beer with Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery: the Shockoe Stout! Come taste this drinkable fall stout at all participating restaurants and the Lickinghole Creek taproom, right next to the event.
Location and Parking:
The festival will take place on the streets between 17th and Franklin St in Shockoe Bottom.
We will provide free Bicycle Parking right next to the festival.
$1 suggested entry donation to Enrichmond Foundation for this unique stew extravaganza. Enrichmond is a 501(c)(3) public charity. Your attendance supports Enrichmond’s mission to enhance Richmond parks and activate its public spaces.
Feel free to bring lawn chairs – we’ll have live music by local blues-rockers, The Bush League! Your four-legged friends are welcome – must be socialized and leashed.
