17th Street Market

We are happy to announce that the long-awaited construction on 17th Street Market will begin on Monday, July 31st. This good news does come with some growing pains.  Throughout construction, our neighboring businesses will continue to be open!

Come down, check out our progress and know we are always ready to welcome you to the neighborhood.

Parking:

  • On street parking can be found throughout the neighborhood.  For streets closest to the Market try along 18th, and on Franklin and Main Streets east of the Market.
  • 100 N. 17th St.: spaces available 24 hours/day
    • 6am-6pm free parking with city issued permit and to the general public for up to 3 hours.
    • 6pm-6am paid parking via kiosk.
  • 1615 E. Broad St.: spaces available 24 hours/day
    • 6am-6pm free parking with city issued permit and to the general public for up to 2 hours.
    • 6pm-6am paid parking via kiosk.
  • 212 N. 18th St.: spaces available 24 hours/day
    • 6am-6pm  free parking with city issued permit and to the general public for up to 2 hours.
    • 6pm-6pm paid parking via kiosk.

Street Closures and Parking Changes of Note:

  • 17th Street between Franklin & Main will be permanently closed to thru traffic as of 6am on July 31st.
  • NO Parking on the Farmers Market beginning 6am on July 31st.
  • NO on-street parking between the hours of 6am-6pm on the following streets:
    • Franklin St. from Ambler St. east to 18th St. (effective 7-31-17)
    • 17th St. from E. Franklin to E. Broad St. (effective 8-2-17)
    • Crane St. from E. Grace to E. Broad St. (effective 8-2-17)
    • NO on-street Parking between the hours of 6am-6pm on E Grace from Ambler to N 18th. (effective 8-2-17)
  • NO Parking on Ambler Street from E. Franklin to E. Grace until further notice.  Ambler will serve as a construction detour and will be opened up to 2-way traffic. (effective 7-31-17)
  • NO Parking in any section of Walnut Alley. The exit onto 17th Street will be permanently closed to thru traffic. (effective 7-31-17)
