17th Street Market
As one of the oldest public markets in America, and possibly Virginia’s longest continuously operating Farmers Market, the 17th Street Market has been a center for commerce and connection for over 275 years.
Under the Enrichmond Foundation’s management, the market venue will host festivals, music, art, vendors, educational programming, and a weekly farmers market once the City completes construction in 2018.
17th Street Market will embody Shockoe Bottom’s vibrant character and continue to serve as a neighborhood resource. At the new market, the Richmond community will find a renewed space that remains connected to its long and rich history.
17th Street Market will be undergoing construction beginning July 31st, 2017. The Market will be re-opened in the beginning of Fall 2018, with 22 trees installed in mid-Fall.
